The United Way of Tri-County has a summer internship opportunity available for our Summer Food Service Program, were feeding hungry kids! We need a Site Coordinator for the program, located at the Pearl Street Cupboard and Café in Framingham, MA. Interns must be available 2 hours each day, Monday through Friday, approx. 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. A 4 hour training prior to the start of the program is required.

The Site Coordinator will order and receive the meals from our sponsor, ensure proper number of complete meals are delivered and ensure the correct number of meals are safely served to children. The coordinator will also ensure the children eat their meals on site, and prepare complete and accurate records of deliveries, meal counts and other necessary paperwork. The Summer Food Site Coordinator will launch the lunch program by creating flyers, press releases and collateral materials and activities for the children prior to the start of the program. The UW office staff will be available to assist with creating posters, flyers, etc.

A $500 stipend will be paid at the end of the internship.

Qualifications:

We seek candidates who are:

- Outgoing and Independent
- Comfortable speaking and working with the public
- Interested in nutrition education or public health
- Have access to a car or public transportation
- If you are currently enrolled in nutrition education or public health program, that a plus!
