The mission of Levitt Pavilion Greater Los Angeles & Pasadena ()is to build community through music. We make live music accessible to all, create stronger and more connected communities, celebrate the diversity of cultures, enrich family values, and promote appreciation of the arts through producing 50 concerts free of charge at two venues in the greater Los Angeles area.

Position Description:

An Internship with Levitt Pavilion allows students at the High School and College levels to gain experience in live music production as well as experience interacting with and making a difference in communities in the Greater Los Angeles area. The Levitt Pavilion internship has two main focuses: Event Production and Community Engagement.

Event production responsibilities include:
*Daily pre-concert site preparations
* Post concert breakdown of the venue
*Sound production and stage management assistance
*Directing traffic and parking
*Managing community partner booths

Community Engagement responsibilities include:
*Interaction with audience members at the info booth
*Engagement with children in Kidzone activities
*Donation collection
*Collection of Audience Survey Data

Levitt Interns are expected to participate in all areas of the internship, however, there may be opportunities for specialization in certain areas. Though this is an unpaid internship position, interns who successfully complete the Levitt Pavilion Pasadena internship program may receive letters of recommendation upon request and will have gained real-world experience to prepare for the competitive job market. College credit is also available when applicable.

Qualifications:

Were seeking candidates with a passion for the arts that wish to learn more about live concert production. Ideal applicants will: have above average written and verbal communication skills, ability to interface comfortably with people of different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, be self motivated, organized, with attention to detail, comfortable with public speaking, ability to lift and move equipment (@ 40 lbs.) Experience with sound, lighting, and/or stage management, live event and/or concert production, or communications is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Interest in music and community-building is preferred.
