Description:

NC-LINK Description
We would like to invite one qualified candidate to fulfill the role of summer intern for a federally-funded HIV research study, NC-LINK.

NC-LINK is conducted on a statewide level and aims to improve the processes by which HIV-positive individuals are linked, retained, and re-engaged in care, once they have fallen out of care. The project includes enhanced statewide data systems; clinic/region-based efforts to retain HIV clients in care; standardization of State Bridge Counselors processes for working with newly-diagnosed or out-of-care clients; and the examination of novel interventions for testing, linkage and retention of HIV clients.

Duke University, Center for Health Policy & Inequalities Research (CHPIR), serves as the local evaluator of the project. As such, CHPIR researchers collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data on NC-LINK interventions; disseminate project findings to local and national audiences; and enhance/connect various statewide data systems for NC-LINK.
