PRINT DESIGNER
We need someone who can create design page layouts for our print magazine. Help us with creating layouts, magazine covers, contributing spread ideas, etc. There is a lot of creative freedom with this position. See our latest issue and apply by emailing us an example of a magazine layout you made in InDesign that would fit in with the style of Urbanette. We are always open to fresh layout ideas.

PUBLISHING
We are in need of a publishing intern to help with the publication of our print issues. You’ll be helping to figure out what articles go into what issue, what products to feature in what layouts, what ads to put in the issue, who to interview for the issues, finding great photo spreads for the issues, communicating with publicists, doing research on printing companies, etc.

HIRING & HR
You will learn about the backbone of running a successful business. We need help with both hiring locally and overseas (outsourcing), as well as managing interns locally. You must be able to work in the office for this internship.

Qualifications:

You must be able to work from our office in Manhattan Monday through Thursday 10am to 4pm, and Friday at home, for this position.

Requirements:
#1. Reliable and motivated. You cant miss days or slack.
#2. Perfect English. Able to determine if writers are any good.
#3. Must have natural management skills. You will be required to motivate and manage interns.
