Position Description

Summary:

Responsible for managing the operations of the Abbey buildings and grounds to ensure the Abbey is functioning at peak performance.

Academic Qualifications:

? High school graduate or equivalent training (Required)
? Relevant knowledge and /or experience in Property Management (Preferred)

Language Requirements:

? Fluent in English and working knowledge of French (Required)
? Fluent in English and French (Preferred)

Experience and Skill Requirements:

? Proficient in Microsoft programs: Word and Excel
? Prior experience in property maintenance, landscaping, gardening and/or related field
? Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures (plumbing, electrical, construction)
? Excellent customer service skills
? Strong organizational and task management abilities
? Highly efficient and detail-oriented
? Proficiency in grammar, spelling, telephone communications, and working with numbers
? Excellent typing and editing skills
? Must be a self-starter and possess exceptional leadership qualities
? High level of problem solving
? Must have a valid driver’s license to drive a manually operated vehicle

Job Responsibilities:

? Coordinate and implement a system for managing daily office routines
? Coordinate preventative and scheduled maintenance, and project management such as renovations and contracts
? Acquires, negotiates, and facilitates maintenance contracts
? Supervising and developing relationships with service providers, various related companies and contacts throughout the community including the mayor
? Setting up and monitoring systems as needed within the facility
? Responsible for electrical panels, heating, water systems, and fire alarms
? Managing security of the grounds and reporting any illegal activity
? Posses basic understanding of The EUR-AM Center’s Insurance Policies, procedures manual, and employee handbook
? Maintain grounds, logistics, supply, trash, laundry service and recycling
Compensation:

Based on experience and education. Qualified candidates that are work/study for credit and/or experience are preferred. Work/study internship candidates often are offered part or full time employment upon the successful completion of their internship.
