The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) is seeking a part-time student intern to work with the Communications department and to assist with a variety of editorial and writing work (print and Web-based). This is a paid internship, with an estimated 15-20 hours of work per week through the summer months (and into the fall semester, if possible, depending on the student’s schedule). The intern will assist the Communications team with editorial and writing support for Developments magazine (a monthly publication), some light public relations work, support of ARDA’s social media initiatives, Web updates, and other projects, as assigned by the Communications department.ARDA is metro-accessible and is within walking distance of the Farragut North (red line) and McPherson Square (orange & blue lines) Metro stations.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a student who is currently majoring in Communications, Journalism, English, or any other relevant degree. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing and editing skills, as well as hands on knowledge of Microsoft Office; candidates with a basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, HTML, and CMS are a plus.
