In late 2009, TerraCycle began operations in the UK, beginning with two waste streams and in less than 3 years have grown to 34 collection programmes across 14 European markets with over 30,000 consumer locations. The company seeks to hire a Danish Intern to assist the Danish business. The role is based in TerraCycle’s European office in London and will work closely with account managers for TerraCycle’s other European markets and form part of the Nordic team.
The Danish intern will report directly to the Danish PR and Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing Social Media outreach on all channels to expand and create wider awareness and followers of TerraCycle Denmark, in order to help grow the business in the region
• Research and identify potential brand partners
• Supporting the management of the local TerraCycle network and website infrastructure
• Marketing TerraCycles programme to local organisations through contests and other activities
• Drafting and distributing high-quality, effective Press Releases and Pitches
• Pitching TerraCycle’s story and products to Broadcast/Print/Online media sources
• Writing and translating copy for products and website
• Handling Customer Service duties
• Handling Customer care and shipment duties
The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and juggle multiple responsibilities amidst shifting deadlines and priorities.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and fluency in Danish and strong proficiency in English
A demonstrated interest in sustainable/green business
Attention to detail
Undergoing or having completed a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
Compensation is £10 a day
Internship period: 3-10 months, start date – January and February 2014
