Social Media, Marketing & Communications Intern (Part-Time)

We are seeking energetic and creative individuals with a wide range of business skills and a get-it-done attitude to support communications, marketing, and social media efforts.

Social Media, Marketing & Communications Interns are expected to commit 10-15 hours/week in-office and will be responsible for a variety of social media, marketing, and communications related tasks including:

Article/Content Development
-Identify topics for educational articles
-Research for writing the article or securing an expert to write and submit the article
-Posting and scheduling of the article to appear on our website

News Curation
-Identify news sources with relevant articles and news on funeral and end-of-life topics
-Posting of relevant news from around the web in our blog
-Scheduling of curated content in our social media channels

Email Marketing
-Develop content for email marketing campaigns for multiple audiences
-Monitor campaign results & adjust strategy

Social Media
-Management of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn Accounts
-Development & publishing Twitter & Facebook content Identifying and engaging with potential user groups, customers, and stakeholders via social media

Press Releases
-Assist with writing of Press Releases
-Manage distribution of Press Releases to appropriate outlets

Qualifications:

Candidate Skills:
-Strong knowledge of Google Products (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office
-Familiarity with web-based and traditional marketing strategies
-Experience and enthusiasm for Social Media (Twitter, Linked In, Facebook, etc.)
-Strong Writing Skills with attention to quality content, grammar, and spelling
-Design skills are a plus
