skyn ICELAND was developed by founder Sarah Kugelman who developed the brand based on her experience in Iceland. She created skyn ICELAND to capture the purity and serenity, along with the healing properties of Iceland’s natural resources to help combat the effects of stress on the skin.
The intern’s role will be to support the marketing and project management team.
- Following up on marketing and customer service inquiries for skyn ICELAND’s participation in events, programs, media opportunities, website etc.
- Responding to marketing requests for product, information, press kits, etc.
- Communicating with potential marketing partners to assess potential opportunities (inquiring about costs, level of involvement, value added, etc.)
- Updating and managing company marketing calendar as well as the monthly product donations.
- Helping to send out packages to editors, marketing partners, retailers, etc.
- Answering phones
- Running office errands (i.e. to the post office, newsstand, etc.)
- General office tasks (copying, filing, putting press kits together, etc.)
Profile
-Strong communication and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Social Media)
- InDesign and Photoshop a plus
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
-Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- A passion for beauty and fashion
-A positive attitude with a “whatever it takes to get it done” mentality
