Shark Migration Website Programmer

Share |

Company/Organization: Turtle Island Restoration Network

Description:

Turtle Island Restoration Network is looking for a motivated website designer and programmer interested in sharks.

In 2006, the Migramar network was created to provide a space for marine scientists in the Eastern Tropical Pacific to share their data with one another and with the general public (see www.migramar.org). One key component of the network is a website on which migratory tracks of several species of shark are placed, and can be viewed on an animated map.

We are looking for someone with experience in Flash and Actionscript to troubleshoot the existing map, and to design and implement upgrades, including new species icons, mechanisms for including environmental data, and greater flexibility for information display.

Flexible hours.
Potential to work remotely.
