Internship Description: The Social Media Intern will conduct an environmental scan of what other association management companies are doing in the area of social media: which sites are they using, how they are using it, how is integrated in their websites, etc. Develop and recommend a social media strategy for Accrete Group including which sites, how they should be used, how they will be integrated, etc. Implement the approved strategies maintaining Accrete’s image across all platforms and document the procedures for maintaining each site. Work independently from your location while collaborating with staff and interns as necessary.

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate: Organized, detail-oriented, with experience in internet research. Please have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfort and proficiency with technology like e-mail, the Internet, MS Office, and have the willingness to learn user-friendly software. Able to multi-task and work independently. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to attend phone meetings a few times a week to meet with staff. Being adaptable to changes in projects and priorities as required.

Everything you create (that is not confidential) will be available to you for your professional portfolio and Accrete will help you arrange for academic credit if necessary.

Location: This is a virtual internship. All meetings will be held by phone or Skype.

Timeline: Approximately 10 hours a week for 15 weeks is standard. Exceptions can be made for summer sessions and extenuating situations.

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship, but the experience and contacts are potentially life-long.
