Company/Organization: Marin Theatre Company

Marin Theatre Company (MTC) is currently accepting applications for our Arts Leadership Training Program during the 2014-15 season. Join a dynamic team of Bay Area artists and administrators dedicated to bringing professional theatre to Marin County.

The Production Management Internship is an opportunity for burgeoning artisans to be involved in all aspects of production at a professional regional theater. Working directly with the Production Manager, the intern will receive on-the-job training and instruction while also being assigned tasks and projects to complete independently. The intern will be integrated fully into the MTC staff, working directly with the production staff by attending production meetings; observing the rehearsal process; participating in strike, change-over, and technical rehearsals; and shadowing his/her supervisors in day-to-day operations. Adjustments will be made to the structure of the internship based on the individual’s skill level and personal goals for the experience.

Start Date: August 11, 2014
End Date: June 19, 2015

MTC believes in cultivating the next generation of arts leaders by providing a supportive environment with increasing levels of responsibility commensurate with developed skills over the course of the internship. Interns will be exposed to all functions of their department as well as the organization as a whole. MTC provides interns with advanced training and experience in professional development, producing opportunities, and project management.
