FT.com is the award winning web site of the Financial Times newspaper. Digital and the web have an important role to play for the business as media consumption habits are changing and advertising revenues migrate from print to online. The product mangement team is responsible for all digital products from strategy and product vision through to delivery and ensuring that anticipated benefits are achieved. Internship opportunities are available to assist senior and lead product managers.Main Duties and Responsibilities
● Understand and support the product development process for tactical deliverables including initial scoping of the product, working with the design team to produce concepts, ensuring that the development teams have a full understanding of business requirements and testing the product to ensure it is fit for purpose
● Assist senior and lead product developers in the production of positioning papers, research, product roadmaps and product backlogs
● Compile reports using various analytics packages and research and provide an analysis of any trends and opportunities that are worth exploring for future product development
● Assist in managing third party suppliers through the entire product delopment process including the provision of business requirements and agreement of Statements of Work for design and develoment
● Liaise with departments within FT to understand their needs and manage feature and functionality trade-offs to ensure products meet the needs of the business and our users

● Prior experience managing a web site or blog
