Intern Responsibilities

Events
Planning:
• Research for products, new ideas, services, etc.
• Creating timelines for day of event
• Coordinating meetings with clients and other venders
• Attending meetings with clients and taking detailed, organized notes

Event Preparation:
• Floral prep work (including filling water buckets, cutting flowers, separation)
• Floral design (centerpieces, bouquets, arrangements, etc.)

Event Set Up:
• Loading and unloading supplies and products
• Setting up fixtures at events (including floral arrangements, linens, candles, etc.)
• Photographing our work at the venue (to later upload to Facebook/Twitter, etc.)

Social Media

Blog:
• Coming up with new ideas for interesting blogs relevant to the industry
• Researching upcoming trends to be featured
• Reaching out to venders and past clients to be featured
• Communicating with photographers to obtain their work from our past events

Facebook and Twitter:
• Posting new thoughts, ideas, interesting articles, and updates
• Uploading photography from events and creating albums
• Interacting with other venders, fans, friends, and followers
Pinterest and Instagram:
• Updating with the newest photos of our work
• Interacting with other vendors, fans, and friends of the industry and other social circles
• Finding new and interesting ideas to use as inspiration

Qualifications:

Social Media knowledge
Interest to learn more about the events industry
Creative and Ambitious
Ability to work independently

Hours:

10-25 per week

Length/Availability:

Semester Long, Summer break, or Winter break
