Description:

Seeking a design student in their Junior or Senior year for an internship in the Art/Photo/Graphic Design department. This is an unpaid internship. The intern will assist in the daily workflow of the magazine and on our photoshoots if needed. Duties will include: closely working with our Art & Design Director, updating layouts, minor imaging work, and some design. Candidates should have an interest in magazine publishing, strong working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Has some print design experience, good typographic skills, and a solid understanding of the grid. Web design and HTML, Video Editing knowledge is a huge plus but not necessarily required.

Must provide a portfolio of recent work. Must be DETAILED ORIENTED and eager to LEARN.

A Monthly Metro card will be provided.

Qualifications:

Duration: May-August 2013. A commitment of at least 3-4 full days a week is required, from 10 am to 6 pm (flexible).
