Community Outreach and Event Planning Intern

Description:
One House at a Time (OHAAT) is looking for a Community Outreach and Event Planning Intern who wants to gain experience working with a small, volunteer-driven nonprofit. The Intern will work closely with OHAATs Executive Director to develop and plan a fundraising event to benefit the Beds for Kids program. (The event is targeted toward local high school students and is scheduled for November 2013.) Applicants must be excellent communicators, highly motivated, and able to work independently. Experience with event planning is preferred but not required.
Location: OHAAT is based out of Ambler, but the Intern has the option of working from home.
Hours per week: The intern can work anywhere from 5 to 15 hours per week, depending on the desired depth and length of the internship.
Compensation: The internship is unpaid, but it can be designed to meet school requirements if seeking college credit.
