The Abbi Agency is looking to bring on a fall social media intern (15-20 hours a week). We are looking for a go-getter who is willing and able to learn in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a fall intern, you will jump on board and help tell the great stories of our national and local clients.

Responsibilities may include:

• Writing social media content for local/national clients
• Writing blog posts
• Running errands
• Conduct background research for clients
• Develop media lists
• Write pitches, press releases and media alerts
• Pitch stories to press
• Find and log client placements daily
• Daily communication and reporting to supervisor

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Junior/Senior level in school program or equivalent in knowledge
• Pursuing degree in Journalism, PR, Advertising or Marketing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Strong writing skills, proficient in AP Style
• Detail-oriented
• Works well in a dynamic environment
• Knowledge of social media channels
• Knowledge of Google News, Google Alerts and Google Reader
• Experience using Mail Chimp is a plus
• Knowledge of media alert & press release writing
• Lastly, positive outlook and eager to learn
