We are looking for a super-motivated intern with social media, online marketing, and SEO skills to create an online marketing strategy and an online marketing plan with the goal to build and strengthen our online presence, visibility, and sales.

This will be a virtual position. We are a virtual team. Both our team and clients are spread around the world. You will be working mostly from home. Occasional meetings in Oakland may be useful, so please make sure you will be available for that too.

The intern will work in collaboration with the founder and executive director.

Our ideal candidate is:

* self-motivated and able to work independently;

* a strong writer;

* very savvy with social media and online marketing;

* skillful at reaching out and building relationships to increase our school visibility online.

We expect our intern to create an effective online marketing strategy and marketing plan and to implement it to prove that it works. We want you to be able to put great numbers in your resume after your work with us.

POSITION DETAILS:
* Create an online marketing strategy and online marketing plan

* Help improve our mass e-mail campaigns; you need to be familiar with Mail Chimp or have strong arguments in favor of a different email service

* Increase our social media presence. We are especially interested in increasing our followers on Twitter through building great relationships with relevant folks in our area of work

The bottom line should be increased leads and sales, which will look great on your resume.

Qualifications:

* Enrolled in college/graduate school or a recent graduate

* Preferred class/professional experience with online marketing or business development

* Proven online marketing skills

* Ability to improve Social Media presence and strong grasp of engagement strategies

* Experience with Twitter, Facebook, and other social media channels

* Excellent writing, interpersonal and presentation skills

* Strong understanding of SEO, including on page and off page strategies a big plus

* Familiarity with Brazil and/or Portuguese a huge plus

* Self-motivation and ability to work independently to achieve the established goals

* Genuine interest in helping a small business grow.
