Seeking enthusiastic, global-oriented, and self-motivated interns with a passion for Virtual Organizations, Business Development, and Social Media; who can bring creative ideas to the business development team and help implement them.
- This is a 30-Day UNPAID Global-Virtual Internship, with a possibility of being extended for up to a maximum period of 90 days based on your initial performance during the first 30 days.
- Our internship program is Year-Round and is open to all applicants worldwide who meet our strict requirements.
- All selected interns who have successfully completed the maximum total of 90 days of internship will receive a $2500 stipend for tuition and education expenses subject to meeting all other stipend award requirements.
Internship Highlights: This virtual organization internship is part of a global educational residency training program at our newly formed VOMI Global Think Tank & Advisory Board, effectively making you a pro tem member of the board; gives you a unique and invaluable opportunity to interact directly with the chairman of the think tank-advisory board and founder of the modern virtual organization management discipline and other significant players in the field, as well as a front row seat at the forefront of the latest virtual organization management developments at VOMI.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Will support the entire VOMI Global Think Tank and Advisory Board, a powerful advocacy arm within VOMI.
- Work with various business departments and business units on market analysis, market development, competitive outlook and strategic fit of licensing opportunities, and intellectual property evaluation.
- Assist in evaluation of expansion opportunities and research of relevant market segments and competitive landscapes. Profile those important market segments and the potential partners within those segments and create strategic presentations and recommendation documents.
- Interact with potential partners and establish relationships as appropriate.
Will also be involved, under strict supervision, planning and attending Board meetings; learning and using parliamentary procedures based on Roberts Rules of Order; recording and transcribing minutes of board meeting; and helping draft Board resolutions.

Qualification Requirements:
- You must be an MBA or Ph.D student majoring in Business Administration or a related field. Must have a min 3.00 GPA in your major or equivalent; a 3.50+ GPA is preferred.
- A Social Media Native with a strong interest in virtual organizations is a must.
- Familiarity with finance, risk management, marketing, strategy, and intellectual property.
- Sound business judgment and ability to work successfully with and influence teams across the organization, including the Executive Leadership team.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills to generate metrics and support business decisions.
- Priority consideration will be given to students who will receive course credit for the internship, however, a waiver of this requirement due to extenuating circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
