BASIC FUNCTION
Fuse is a music network dedicated to providing a home for fun, insightful and compelling music based programming.

Development is where all the creative decisions for TV movies and series are made. We decide what concepts to pick up, develop and create into series/movies. Interns will have an opportunity to see projects come from one-line ideas to current programming on the air.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Filing pitches, talent credits, DVDs and tapes
2. Writing coverage reports on pitches submitted to the network
3. Daily office support with photo copies, faxing, fed ex, phone calls, etc
4. Data entry: Inputting notes into the Submissions Database and the Talent Database
5. Evaluating potential programming for the network
6. Joining department meetings
7. Research – short and long term
8. Creating new ideas for the network
9. Making runs / acting as PA
10. Searching the tape library and making dubs
11. Prepping the handouts for the weekly Development meeting

SCOPE
• Interns will be expected to work 8 hours per day and hopefully 5 days per week. We will consider shorter term candidates on a case by case basis.
• The scope of the job ranges from running errands (dropping off tapes, etc) to database entry, distribution of departmental materials, to evaluating potential ideas for the network.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a college student currently enrolled in a university/college-level program
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Filemaker is great (but not necessary – we can teach)
• Detail oriented
• Organized
• Good reading and writing skills
• Decision maker
• Responsible
• Hard worker
