Position Summary:

Support our public relations team assisting in (but not limited to) the following:
• Creating content for multiple social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Blogs)
• Monitoring social media accounts and providing feedback for optimal engagement
• Copy writing and editing (blogs, advertorial, editorial, creative copy…etc.)
• Writing + revising media pitches and press releases
• Creating media contact lists + researching media outlets
• Competitive analysis and market research
• Assisting in special projects as they arise (marketing plans, editorial calendars, social media campaigns, press kits…etc.)
• Conceptualizing new ideas for both creative + editorial

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
• Priority given to degree-seeking students with Junior or Senior standing (or recent college graduates)
• Must be studying (or knowledgeable) in marketing, communications, writing or related studies in college—or have relevant experience.
• Must be extremely savvy with (as in borderline addicted to) Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and/or other social media platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop a plus (but not at all required)
• Most important of all—be intelligent, thoughtful, personable, independent, and work efficiently in a casual work environment (we don’t need suits and ties to get the job done!). Come to the table eager to contribute. Be articulate, great with words, and have a voice (you study communications, after all).
