Young Judaea is seeking an innovative and creative Marketing & Communications Intern to work in our New York City office and support the Marketing & Communications Department in expressing our vision and voice both online and off. The Digital Marketing & Communications intern will report to the Marketing & Public Relations Manager, working to enhance organizational awareness, execute digital and social media strategies, and help to generate online and offline traffic for the organization. The Digital Marketing and Communications intern will work closely with the Marketing team to implement and communicate organizational efforts, both internally and externally.

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual with a love of Israel and social activism to positively influence Jewish youth in this country by participating in the continuous creation and dissemination of content for the website, blog, social media and email communications.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Strong writing skills, along with experience using social media networks and email marketing tools.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and demonstrated experience with Facebook and Twitter are expected.
• Experience with any or all of the following software/applications is highly desirable: Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, YouTube, WordPress, Instagram, Pinterest, and Hootsuite.
• Excellent organizational and communications skills
• Availability to work 20-25 hours per week
• Basic knowledge of HTML preferred
• Portfolio of sample work (electronic media or print design) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
