Description:

United Way of Larimer County is looking for two energetic Interns to support fundraising efforts in the Resource Development Department. If you have ever been curious about working in non-profit now is your chance to gain valuable career experience and make a difference in your community! RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with various aspects of fundraising campaigns
Help brainstorm fundraising ideas
Assist with and attend special campaign events
Assist with event planning and preparation
Thank donors for their gifts to United Way
Assist staff with various administrative and clerical tasks
Work in a customer relationship management database
Other duties as assigned

Gain firsthand fundraising experience
Learn about non-profit managemen
Improve clerical and administrative skills
Learn to work with a database
Practice and gain new interpersonal skills
Add experience with a leader in health and human non-profit to your resume

ABOUT THE POSITION:
15 week commitment beginning in late August or early September 2015. Start date is flexible.
12-15 hours a week during business hours. Hours are flexible around school schedule and holidays.
$500 stipend paid at the completion of the internship.
Position is contingent upon successful background check.
Must have own reliable transportation, valid Driverís License, and proof of car insurance. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Qualifications:

Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook is a plus.
Self starter. You will be working independently at times and must be able to keep yourself on schedule.
Detail Oriented.
