K–12 School, Youth, and Family Programs Intern (Fall 2020–Spring 2021)

This intern will provide administrative assistance, supporting and participating in planning, research, and implementation of a full range of school, youth, and family programming. In addition, the intern will fill requests for information and materials, run errands, and perform miscellaneous office tasks as needed.Responsibilities include assisting the Associate Director of Education in developing and implementing a wide variety of programs for students and teachers; organizing and archiving program materials; helping maintain an online presence for documenting, translating, and transferring information to either a blog or other online tool; conducting online research; gathering and organizing learning materials for K–12 programs, assisting with youth and family programming, and other related projects.
Qualifications:
Requirements: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in a college or university (undergraduates, graduate students, graduating seniors, and international students are welcome). Hours are flexible with some weekends required. Candidates must have some daytime availability during the work week and available be at least 5 hours every week. Candidates should be computer and technology literate, preferably with some basic design skills; interested in working with youths, outreach and community engagement, museum education; and should possess good customer service skills. Candidate must also have an ability to work with the public, research skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and analytical skills.
