Description:

The iD Film Academy is a premier summer program focusing on documentary video production for teens ages 13-17 held at limited locations.

SUMMARY
An Academy Instructor is responsible for creating the ultimate iD Gaming Academy experience! This includes fostering a FUN and SAFE environment while helping students learn new technology and think creatively. In addition to creating an optimal learning environment, an Academy Instructor is in charge of continuously supervising students and maintaining a safe atmosphere while on duty.

CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING

Attend in person and online pre-camp training sessions

Attend pre-camp orientation session

Complete ALL pre-camp training requirements and paperwork

Learn software and all modules of curriculum before arrival

Obtain CPR Certification prior to camp

Some staff will be required to be fingerprinted (based on location)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
General:

Assist with location set-up, teardown and product inventory/assessment – ability to lift 50lbs

Assist with camper check in

Assist Director with organizing activities for students

Plan, organize, and participate in daily and special programs
Instructional:

Prepare lesson plans each day prior to class

Teach a class with an average of 8-10 students

Supervise all students and maintain a safe environment

Escort students to and from dining halls – walking up to 1 mile

Observe student behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce policies and procedures

Apply appropriate behavior management techniques

Socialize with parents/family during Check-in, Check-out, and Family Showcase

Take on additional duties as needed and assigned
Health, Safety & First-Aid:

Enforce rules and safety regulations of iD Tech Camps

Respond to critical incidents – have good hearing, eye sight and mobility

Perform CPR and operate dormitory emergency exits


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have worked as a professional in the video production field. Instructor will have advanced knowledge of Final Cut Pro and After Effects. A portfolio that includes publicly screened film work and an interest in the documentary genre is highly desirable.

Paid Internship Info:

Start at $700/week

Hours:

40 hours/week; more for overnight
