Social Media Intern (CABO)

Description:
Conduct an environmental scan of what other sister and/or competing organizations are doing in the area of social media: which sites are they using, how they are using it, how is integrated in their websites, etc. Develop and recommend a social media strategy for the organization including which sites, how they should be used, how they will be integrated, etc. Implement the approved strategies maintaining the organization’s image across all platforms and document the procedures for maintaining each site. Work independently from your location while collaborating with staff and interns as necessary. Intern will be working with the Connecticut Alliance for Business Opportunities, an LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
Qualifications:
Organized, detail-oriented, with experience in internet research. Please have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfort and proficiency with technology like e-mail, the Internet, MS Office, and have the willingness to learn user-friendly software. Able to multi-task and work independently. Candidate must be reliable, punctual, and able to attend phone meetings a few times a week to meet with staff. Being adaptable to changes in projects and priorities as required.
