Co-founded by the Duke University Program in Education Director and 10-year College Board veteran Lucy Haagen, DK Education aspires to transform the Chinese education system and to prepare Chinese high school students for American colleges and universities. DK has two main programs: SAT and American test preparation, and the DK International Program (DKIP). DKIP is a magnet program that operates within but not under the authority of China’s top public and independent high schools. Its goal is to provide able Chinese high schoolers with a progressive, interactive global humanities and English language experience enabling them to qualify for and succeed in U.S. liberal arts colleges and undergraduate university programs.

Job Description:
Position: professional test prep instructor

Correct homework and answer student questions during office hours
Develop curriculum for DKIP, SAT prep and other programs
Participate in marketing activities such as giving presentations and demo classes, or meeting with prospective students
Workload per week: a maximum of 87 hours per month

Benefit:
Monthly salary:12000RMB-15000RMB
DK Education will provide all full-time teachers with a Work (Z) Visa.
Teachers have opportunities for performance based bonuses of up to RMB 2,000 per month.
Teachers have opportunities for promotion to leadership positions as well as salary raise if they’re going to stay more than one year.
Teachers who complete a year-long contract will receive a travel bonus of RMB 10,000.
DK provides free accommodation in other cities or housing allowance in Beijing and Shanghai.
DK provides other benefits including holiday and birthday gifts for all teachers, and subsidies for those teachers who would like to go to second tier or third tier cities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor or above and strong GPA from top U.S. college/university
English/History/Language Arts Teaching/Tutoring experience
Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Patient, outgoing, and comfortable teaching Chinese students
English/History/Language Arts Teaching/Tutoring experience

Beneficial but not required:

Mandarin language skills
Sales, Marketing or Theatre experience
TOEFL, SAT training experience
Familiarity with Chinese education system
