Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP), a professional theatre for young audiences and families, is seeking a House Management Intern for the spring semester.

An internship at The REP provides an opportunity to work and learn in a professional environment. Our interns are an extremely important asset in maintaining The REPís presence as a leader in the industry. The REP staff strives to create a comfortable atmosphere for growing and learning while you hone your professional skills and build your portfolio under our wing. Interns at The REP not only get a one-of-a-kind experience from a professional staff; they also have unique access to industry professionals from Disney, Universal, and other leading organizations through networking and career counseling workshops. Interns also benefit from complimentary tickets to REP productions during their stay.

A House Management Intern will gain valuable, real-world experience while working in the Front of House Department for a professional theatre. Working side-by-side with the House Manager, the intern will be exposed to leadership opportunities with REP volunteers, and will assist with ticketing, seating, and the overall concession stand operations including merchandising and sales. House Management Interns will work in a fast paced environment managing ticket pick-up, training and leading volunteers, and communicating with Stage Management to produce professional theatre performances. Customer service skills will be enhanced through the knowledge of selling and distributing tickets with Total Info and Concessions Info, Easy-Ware software used by many non-profit theatre groups for ticketing and fundraising needs. This internship is based on a 15-20 hour work week and is unpaid. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, multi-tasking skills, and an interest in the theatre or working with children. House Management Interns should be available to work Friday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays.

Spring internship dates are January through April/May.
